JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Senior DevOps Engineer is to design, develop, implement, and support the rapid automation of deployments and upgrades to core infrastructure and systems that are critical to our global partners.

This role requires a passionate, committed, and organized individual who is a fast learner, adaptable, and open to new approaches in technology solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The primary responsibilities of this position are to:

  • Design, implement, document, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable Azure cloud infrastructure and core system applications.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps to ensure fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.
  • Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Grafana and Azure Monitor to ensure system health and performance.
  • Ensure code, configuration and other technology artifacts are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Bash, or PowerShell to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years professional experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in Azure solutions and 3 years of Terraform (both mandatory)
  • Demonstrable experience with PowerShell and other shell scripting languages.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD automation for build, test, and deployment processes, with a preference for GitLab and Azure DevOps.
  • Solid experience with version control, particularly Git, and familiarity with branching strategies.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, and load balancing, specifically within Azure environments.
  • Experience with Azure networking services such as Azure Virtual Network, Azure Load Balancer, and Azure Application Gateway/ Front Door.
  • Experience implementing security best practices and tools in Azure, including Azure Security Center, Azure Firewall, encryption, SAST/DAST scanning, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience in container technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience in monitoring application health, security & other process related to SDLC.
  • Experience leading incident response efforts, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix/Windows system administration.
  • Excellent technical documentation and writing skills.

Desirable, but not required:

  • Exposure to orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data stack resources, such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
  • Knowledge of full stack technology concepts from hardware, software platforms to UI layers.
  • Strong experience with Object oriented design and modelling.
  • Experience with visual modelling tools including UML.
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Python.

Most important:

  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work outputs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Desirable, but not required:

  • Experience with appropriate organization complexity
  • Experience in Real Estate

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications are a bonus, such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development through courses, workshops, or online platforms such as Coursera, Udemy, Learning.
