In this role, you will develop advanced data science and AI/ML solutions that address critical healthcare business, operational, and client questions. You will work with complex clinical, financial, operational, claims, and electronic medical record data to build scalable analytical capabilities that improve clinical, operational, and economic outcomes. You will apply statistical methods, machine learning, natural language processing, and large language models while partnering across product, technology, clinical, engineering, and business teams to translate complex problems into production-ready solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced data science, machine learning, and AI solutions using complex healthcare clinical, operational, financial, claims, and electronic medical record data.
- Conduct exploratory and predictive analyses across large, disparate data sources to identify patterns, generate hypotheses, evaluate performance, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Apply statistical modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and large language model techniques to solve complex healthcare and business problems.
- Design, develop, evaluate, and refine LLM-enabled workflows, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt optimization, model evaluation, and techniques that improve the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated outputs.
- Develop AI/ML workflows that support production applications, analytics products, and data platforms through model orchestration, API integration, data processing, deployment, and optimization.
- Translate raw clinical, financial, operational, and client data into standardized, enriched, and analytically useful data assets that support healthcare analytics and product capabilities.
- Integrate LLMs and machine learning models with APIs, data pipelines, enterprise applications, and other technology platforms to move solutions from experimentation into production.
- Partner with product, engineering, technology, clinical, and business clients to translate requirements into appropriate statistical, machine learning, and AI approaches.
- Evaluate data quality, model performance, and analytical outputs and troubleshoot issues across data, AI/ML workflows, and production solutions.
- Communicate analytical approaches, findings, limitations, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences and contribute best practices across data science, experimentation, AI/ML, and analytical solution development.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Proficiency in Python required; experience with R, SAS, or other analytical programming languages preferred.
- Demonstrated experience applying statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive modeling to complex business or healthcare problems.
- Experience developing or applying large language models, natural language processing, or generative AI solutions, including techniques such as RAG, model evaluation, hallucination mitigation, or prompt optimization.
- Experience developing AI/ML solutions that integrate with APIs, data pipelines, enterprise applications, analytics products, or data platforms.
- Experience developing, deploying, or orchestrating AI/ML solutions within cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, Palantir Foundry, or comparable platforms strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex, and disparate datasets and translate data into scalable analytical solutions.
- Experience communicating complex analytical concepts and findings to technical, business, and executive audiences and collaborating across engineering, product, technology, clinical, and business teams.
- Experience with healthcare data, healthcare operations, finance, revenue cycle, clinical workflows, or hospital performance analytics strongly preferred, including exposure to claims, electronic medical record, financial, billing, or operational data and platforms such as Epic Clarity/Caboodle, Cerner CCL-Discern/PowerInsight, or Palantir Foundry.
