The Senior Data Analyst serves as a strategic analytics partner within Enterprise Analytics, supporting high-priority business initiatives across multiple functional areas through data-driven decision making, trusted measurement, and actionable insights.

This role translates complex business questions into analytical frameworks, measurable outcomes, and executive-ready recommendations by combining strong business acumen, analytical rigor, and modern data practices. The Senior Data Analyst partners closely with business leaders, platform owners, Data Engineering, Data Governance, and technology teams to establish trusted metrics, support enterprise data initiatives, and enable scalable analytics capabilities across the organization.

While the role will initially provide significant support for Marketing Analytics, Customer Data Platform (CDP) initiatives, customer insight development, and related data platform efforts, it is designed to operate as a flexible Enterprise Analytics resource that can address analytical needs across a broad portfolio of business priorities.

Operating within the Enterprise Data Foundation (EDF), the Senior Data Analyst helps develop consistent business definitions, governed metrics, analytical standards, and scalable reporting practices that improve organizational decision making and business performance. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with a consultative mindset, exercises substantial independent judgment, and effectively translates business objectives into measurable outcomes and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities :

  • Acts as a trusted partner to stakeholders, translating business objectives into analytical frameworks, measures of success, actionable insights, and data requirements.
  • Facilitates discovery and requirements-gathering sessions to identify root business needs rather than simply executing requested reports.
  • Challenges assumptions constructively and helps stakeholders clarify objectives, KPIs, business definitions, dependencies, and success criteria.
  • Leads ambiguous, cross-functional analytical engagements from problem framing through recommendation, aligning stakeholders on scope, decision criteria, tradeoffs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Influences without authority by building trusted partnerships, synthesizing competing perspectives, and guiding business and technical stakeholders toward practical, data-informed decisions.
  • Converts complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations and executive-ready narratives.
  • Supports organizational advancement from reactive reporting to consultative, decision-focused analytics.

Marketing Analytics and Customer Insights

  • Develops analyses, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions supporting marketing strategy, campaign effectiveness, funnel performance, attribution, customer engagement, and business growth.
  • Partners with Marketing, Sales, and Service leaders to ensure metrics remain aligned across functions.
  • Performs trend analysis, root-cause analysis, segmentation, forecasting, and KPI development.
  • Supports executive reporting and communicates analytical findings in a way that drives adoption and action.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve data literacy, measurement practices, and decision effectiveness across Marketing.

Marketing Platform and CDP Enablement

  • Works closely with the Marketing Platform Manager to support implementation, adoption, governance, and measurement of marketing technology solutions, including the Customer Data Platform (CDP), Salesforce, CRM Analytics, Tableau, and related technologies.
  • Defines, validates, and documents audience logic, business rules, segmentation requirements, activation criteria, and performance measurement methodologies.
  • Supports marketing platform use cases by translating business requirements into analytical specifications and measurement frameworks.
  • Assists in evaluating platform effectiveness through adoption metrics, data-quality indicators, audience performance, and business outcomes.
  • Serves as a bridge among Marketing, Analytics, Data Engineering, and Technology teams.

Data Governance and Stewardship

  • Promotes trusted reporting through strong data governance, quality, documentation, transparency, and consistency.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of common metric definitions, business glossaries, data lineage documentation, ownership models, and enterprise standards.
  • Helps define and validate shared definitions of customers, leads, accounts, campaigns, audiences, and other enterprise marketing concepts.
  • Identifies data-quality concerns and partners with technical teams to prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Supports enterprise governance initiatives related to EDF, data readiness, and analytical standards.

Analytics Engineering and Data Management

  • Develops and maintains advanced SQL queries, analytical datasets, and curated reporting assets.
  • Collaborates with Data Engineering teams on semantic layers, curated datasets, data models, and analytical requirements.
  • Supports testing, validation, and quality assurance for analytical solutions.
  • Works with modern cloud data environments and enterprise-scale datasets to help ensure analytical accuracy and scalability.
  • Uses AI-assisted analytics, automation, and modern development practices where appropriate and consistent with enterprise standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, marketing analytics, consulting, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting Marketing, Revenue Operations, Customer Experience, CRM, CDP, marketing automation, or similar business functions.
  • Experience working with customer data platforms, marketing technology solutions, marketing automation platforms, or customer engagement technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Experience translating business objectives into analytical requirements, measurement approaches, and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working across business and technical teams in highly collaborative environments.
  • Experience supporting data governance, KPI management, and enterprise reporting practices is preferred.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

  • No licenses or certifications are required. Relevant certifications in analytics, business intelligence, Salesforce, cloud data platforms, marketing technology, or data governance are beneficial.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate organizational objectives into analytical solutions, measurable outcomes, and data-informed recommendations.
  • Demonstrated strategic consulting skills with the ability to assess business needs, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and guide stakeholders toward effective solutions.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including SQL development, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, root-cause analysis, KPI development, and performance measurement.
  • Proven critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex issues, synthesize information from multiple sources, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Skilled in translating complex data into meaningful business insights through data storytelling, visualization, and executive-level communication.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships, influence decision-making, and align priorities across diverse groups.
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics, including customer segmentation, attribution methodologies, campaign measurement, lead lifecycle management, funnel analytics, customer engagement, and marketing operations.
  • Experience supporting Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), marketing automation technologies, customer identity solutions, audience activation strategies, and marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools, including Tableau, CRM Analytics, Power BI, and similar data visualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of dashboard design principles, visualization best practices, and the development of user-focused reporting solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud data environments, including Snowflake or comparable data warehouses, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, semantic layers, metadata management, and data lineage concepts.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality management, data stewardship practices, governed metrics, and enterprise reporting standards.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across business, marketing, technology, analytics, and data engineering teams to deliver scalable analytical solutions.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, innovation, and the adoption of modern analytics practices.
  • Preferred experience with Python, including Pandas and NumPy, dbt or similar transformation frameworks, AI-assisted analytics tools, Salesforce, and marketing technology implementations.
