- Lead and contribute to dam safety management, surveillance, safety reviews and risk assessments.
- Manage technical aspects of small to large-scale projects, working closely with clients from proposal development through to project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to deliver value beyond the immediate project brief.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across Aurecon to bring together the right expertise to solve complex dams challenges.
- Apply engineering standards independently, providing technical guidance and supporting high-quality project outcomes.
- Play a key role in establishing and growing our dams capability, helping shape the team as our project pipeline and presence across South Australia and Victoria continues to grow.
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years’ experience in dams engineering, with demonstrated experience in dam safety and risk assessment.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status and immediate eligibility for RPEV.
- A qualification in civil or geotechnical engineering, or a related engineering discipline, supported by substantial relevant dams experience.
- A strong civil dams engineering background with an understanding of geotechnical, structural and hydraulic aspects of dams.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of ANCOLD guidelines and relevant state-based dam safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Experience delivering dam projects across different stages of the asset lifecycle.
- Strong communication and technical report-writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
- A genuine interest in developing others, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of our dams capability.
