We're looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Credit Risk Modeling Manager in Raleigh to assess, model, and price its growing reinsurance business. This individual contributor role involves modeling, analyzing, structuring, pricing, and managing risk. You will collaborate closely with teams to shape credit products and influence key decisions by tackling complex problems and delivering meaningful results. You are responsible for helping Enact succeed in its long-term growth strategy. Success in this role requires a blend of strong analytical skills, financial acumen, insurance and credit risk modeling expertise, and effective communication.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build quantitative frameworks to assess credit risk, expected performance, loss emergence, capital usage, and deal-level economics across transaction types.

  • Apply statistical, stochastic, and scenario-based modeling techniques to evaluate collateral performance, ratings migration, macroeconomic trends, and stress outcomes.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain pricing, exposure, and portfolio risk models for reinsurance transactions and emerging business opportunities.

  • Design and execute scenario, sensitivity, stress testing, and what-if analyses to support underwriting decisions, capital management, and portfolio risk limits.

  • Align modeling assumptions, pricing approaches, and risk outputs with internal standards, regulatory requirements, rating agency views, and model risk governance expectations.

  • Evaluate, validate, and improve internal and external models to ensure they are fit for use under Enact’s Model Risk Framework.

  • Analyze transaction and portfolio performance data to identify key risk drivers, emerging trends, concentration risks, and actionable business insights.

  • Partner with Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Operations, IT, and leadership teams to gather data, interpret model results, and translate analytics into business recommendations.

  • Clearly document model assumptions, limitations, risks, controls, and confidence levels to support transparency, repeatability, and governance.

  • Present concise, decision-ready modeling insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in financial mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or related field

  • 7+ years of quantitative experience working with performance data and building risk models in insurance, reinsurance, or finance

  • Experience developing, testing, and documenting quantitative frameworks and risk models

  • Knowledge of stochastic modeling concepts and application

  • Experience working with capital modeling, financial cashflows and financial metrics

  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to take independent ownership of projects and deliver results under tight deadlines

  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills that allow for collaboration and at all levels within the organization, including senior management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree, CFA, FRM, or actuarial designation preferred

  • Experience in developing risk frameworks, underwriting guidance, and pricing strategies

  • Experience with structured credit both in single name and portfolio form

  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis via SQL and Excel or a programming language such as Python, R, SAS or similar
