We're looking for an experienced senior recruiter who understands the creative talent market and can independently lead complex searches across creative, marketing, digital, and experience design. This role requires strong recruiting judgment, credible partnership with hiring teams, and the ability to engage specialized talent in a competitive market. You will shape search strategies, assess portfolios and capabilities, advise stakeholders, and move high-quality candidates through the process with urgency and care. 

What you’ll do 

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for specialized creative, marketing, digital, UX/UI, content, design, and related talent 
• Partner with hiring leaders to translate business needs into clear role profiles, search strategies, and candidate evaluation criteria 
• Build targeted sourcing plans using market intelligence, professional networks, referrals, technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools 
• Evaluate portfolios, creative capabilities, career progression, and alignment to both the role and work environment 
• Deliver consultative candidate recommendations and influence selection decisions with clear, evidence-based insights 
• Own candidate engagement from initial outreach through interviews, offer acceptance, onboarding, and post-placement support 
• Develop and maintain deep talent communities across priority creative disciplines and emerging skill areas 
• Represent Horizontal in the creative community through networking, industry engagement, and relationship building 
• Manage multiple priority searches while maintaining speed, quality, candidate experience, and delivery accountability 

What you bring 

• Proven success recruiting creative, marketing, digital, and experience design professionals in a staffing or high-volume talent environment 
• Strong understanding of creative disciplines, portfolios, talent markets, compensation, and evolving skill trends 
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex searches, engage passive talent, and close experienced candidates 
• Consultative communication skills and the confidence to advise, challenge, and align hiring stakeholders 
• Exceptional candidate assessment, relationship management, organization, and follow-through 
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while consistently delivering against quality, speed, and performance expectations 
• Comfort using recruiting technology, data, automation, and AI to improve search effectiveness and candidate engagement 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience 

Compensation & Upside

• In this role, you'll enjoy a competitive base salary of $60,000-$80,000/year depending upon experience, along with commission-based earnings. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
