We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Senior Structures Asset Manager to join our expanding civil structures team in Hamilton. You’ll work within one of New Zealand’s most reputable structures asset management teams, collaborating with colleagues across our offices to look after some of the nation’s oldest and most heavily used bridges. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to step into a Team Leader role, guiding and developing others, while being supported by the wider regional and national teams.

You’ll contribute to a wide range of projects for our established client base, engaging directly with clients, understanding their needs and developing solutions to help extend the life of existing bridges and build greater resilience. You will lead and manage contracts and packages of work for existing clients in the Waikato region and around the North Island. Mōu ake | About you

We are looking for a senior structures asset manager passionate about bridges with a strong client and delivery focus. You will be a collaborative team player with practical problem-solving skills. In this role, you will lead others to deliver successful project outcomes on portfolios of existing structural assets across the upper North Island. In this role will see you:

  • Partnering with clients to understand and deliver to their long-term plans and key drivers.

  • Leading and coaching others to support their career development.

  • Leading the delivery of structures management programmes, including maintenance and improvement works.

  • Be a passionate civil/structural engineer focused on asset management.

  • Experience managing, assessing, and strengthening existing bridges is preferable.

  • Building strong internal and external relationships to deliver better outcomes.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills and thrives in a tight-knit team environment. Additionally, you should have the ability to collaborate effectively with the wider business.

Experience Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in a client asset management.

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), or working towards chartership.
