Ataccama ONE is an agentic data trust platform with data quality at its core. It combines data quality, observability, catalog, lineage, reference data and master data management in one product, so that some of the world’s largest enterprises can trust their data – and let AI agents act on it. Core is the group behind our well-established product suite – the foundation of Ataccama’s business today and the reason we have such a large, trusting enterprise customer base – and this role sits on the backend of its Data Quality team.

Build and maintain a truly complex self-service data trust platform that lets business users validate, govern and work with data without learning SQL or depending on more technical colleagues

Work on a well-established, complex product with a large enterprise customer base – improving and optimizing existing solutions rather than designing everything from scratch

Contribute to and own parts of our data quality and data processing components: scalable backend systems designed to perform under huge amounts of data, built on microservices, messaging systems and well-designed APIs

Collaborate closely with our product manager to turn user and customer problems into pragmatic, technically sound features

Own features end-to-end, from design to production deployment and operations – we expect software that is ready to deploy and run in cloud environments

Mentor teammates with empathy – supporting juniors and constructively challenging seniors through thoughtful code reviews and design conversations

Play a hands-on role in architectural decisions, balancing innovation with simplicity and taking part in decisions that shape how our product is developed

Make the platform agent-ready – expose our data quality and metadata capabilities to the built-in Ataccama AI Agent and to customers’ agents through APIs and MCP, and explore where LLMs can take over work that engineers and data stewards do by hand today

Build AI-first: use AI coding agents as a normal part of how you design, write, test and review code, and help the team raise the bar on how we work with them

Are fluent in Java and curious or experienced with Kotlin

Enjoy deep backend work – you’ve moved beyond standard APIs and get excited by complex applications, data-intensive engines and platform-like architectures

Like solving problems and have a maker mindset – you see challenges as opportunities, jump in and find what works

Don’t mind doing some research when engines require complex algorithms and data structures to work efficiently

Can write and understand complex SQL queries and are comfortable working with relational databases at scale

Have experience building and operating distributed, scalable PaaS systems

Know your way around Kubernetes or are eager to learn it

Are skilled at using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex as part of your daily development workflow – and have an opinion on where they help and where they don’t

Are curious about LLMs, agents and MCP and how to integrate them into a product safely and reliably (hands-on experience is a plus, not a must)

Enjoy being in contact with customers’ problems and are not afraid to take ownership of a whole competency

Write clean, well-designed, documented and testable code, and promote industry standards and best practices

Want to work in a collaborative engineering culture where mentorship, feedback and shared ownership are the norm

Experience (or interest) in any of the following areas: Problem Solving, Complex Algorithms, Software Architecture, Databases, Cloud Operations, Application Security / Identity Management, or building LLM-powered features
