Patient First is seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role combines expertise in software development, cloud architecture, DevOps automation, and artificial intelligence to deliver innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and support strategic business initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure services, modern .NET development, Azure AI technologies, and DevOps practices. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to build scalable AI-powered applications and cloud-native solutions. This role combines responsibilities from cloud engineering, AI development, and DevOps automation disciplines.

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following:

  • AI Solution Development
    • Designing, building, and deploying AI-powered applications using Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, and related technologies;
    • Developing intelligent solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs), Retrieval- Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, semantic search, and vector databases;
    • Evaluating emerging AI technologies and recommending innovative approaches to solve business challenges;
    • Collaborating with business users to identify AI use cases and transforming requirements into scalable technical solutions.
       
  • Software Development
    • Developing and maintaining enterprise applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and related Microsoft technologies;
    • Building cloud-native and AI-enabled applications that integrate with Azure services and enterprise systems;
    • Designing reusable, maintainable, and secure software components following modern development best practices;
    • Developing integrations between AI platforms, business applications, databases, and third-party systems.
       
  • Azure Cloud Engineering
    • Architecting and implementing Azure-based solutions for mission-critical applications;
    • Designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments leveraging Azure Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity, and Security services;
    • Leading cloud modernization and migration efforts where appropriate;
    • Ensuring compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
       
  • DevOps & Automation
    • Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and
    • GitHub;
    • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM templates, and/or Terraform;
    • Automating application deployments, environment provisioning, and operational processes;
    • Managing source control strategies, branching models, release pipelines, and deployment automation;
    • Supporting containerized deployments using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
       
  • Data Integration and Analytics
    • Integrating cloud and on-premises data sources to support AI and analytics workloads;
    • Developing data transformation, processing, and orchestration solutions;
    • Supporting data pipelines and AI data preparation activities;
    • Collaborating with analytics and data engineering teams to enable advanced reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
       
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Partnering with business leaders, architects, and technical teams to define technical strategies;
    • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to developers and engineers;
    • Establishing development standards, DevOps best practices, and AI governance guidelines;
    • Participating in architectural reviews and technology planning initiatives.

Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience;
  • At least 7 years of professional software development experience;
  • At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure;
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and RESTful API development;
  • Experience developing cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure;
  • Experience with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Machine Learning, or related AI platforms. Experience with Python for AI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Search, and Azure OpenAI are a plus;
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub;
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies and tools;
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, security, and application lifecycle management;
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills;
  • Experience building enterprise AI applications using LLMs, copilots, chatbots, RAG architectures, and vector search technologies is a plus;
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or related data platforms is a plus;
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus;
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology systems and workflows is a plus;
  • Experience working within regulated or compliance-focused environments is a plus;
  • Related Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, and Azure Developer Associate) is a plus.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
