About the team and role: 

We are looking for a Senior Auditor with an operational background to join the global Internal Audit team in Dublin, Ireland; Dreilinden, Germany; or Amsterdam, Netherlands. 

In this hybrid role that will require you to be in the office at least 3 days a week, you will focus predominately on performing operational audits across eBay Inc. You will help deliver a risk-based audit approach, gain a deep understanding of key business processes, translate risks into concrete business issues, and partner with the Internal Audit team and key partners to prioritize practical findings and recommendations. You will report directly to the Senior Manager within Internal Audit. What you will accomplish: 

• Complete operational audit programs, including control build and operating efficiency testing, following Internal Audit methodology.

• Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, and business risks, then convert risks into clear, actionable audit issues and recommendations.

• Draft audit documentation and findings, and support the preparation of clear, concise, and impactful audit reports.

• Facilitate issue tracking, validation of remediation, and timely closure of audit findings.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and find opportunities to improve audit efficiency and value to the organization.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience executing internal audits, preferably within a third-line Internal Audit function, including audits performed under an annual risk-based audit plan; candidates should have experience beyond SOX controls testing or first/second-line risk and compliance activities.

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written), to pinpoint issues and communicate audit findings. 

• Proficiency in using data analytics throughout the audit process (e.g., reading/writing/running SQL code, performing data validation, testing, etc.). 

• Holding CPA, CIA, CISA, or other professional certifications is advantageous.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

• Proactive, driven by achieving goals, and collaborative working style, with a strong focus on quality and accountability.

• High attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
