The Senior Area Sales Executive will be responsible for driving primary and secondary sales across the Indirect Distributor Channel (IDC model), managing distribution networks, and building strong relationships with pet retail outlets. This is a field-focused role requiring strong on-ground sales experience and expertise in channel development and distributor management.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Drive primary and secondary sales achievement across the assigned territory. Headquartered in Ahmedabad, the candidate will be responsible for managing entire Ahmedabad.

• Manage and grow the Indirect Distributor Channel which included pet retail outlets.

• Handle and expand the distribution network, including distributors, wholesalers, and retailers servicing the pet care ecosystem.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key veterinarians, clinics, breeders, and pet trade partners.

• Ensure effective market coverage, product visibility, and availability across all assigned channels.

• Monitor stock availability, order cycles, inventory movement, and replenishment planning.

• Execute sales plans, promotional activities, and market development initiatives.

• Identify new business opportunities and drive market penetration within the pet care segment.

• Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends; provide actionable market insights.

• Maintain accurate sales reports and performance trackers using Microsoft Excel; prepare presentations when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA preferred.

• Proven on-ground sales experience in FMCG, Pet Nutrition, Animal Health, Veterinary Products, or related categories.

• Strong experience in handling primary and secondary sales.

• Demonstrated experience in managing distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

• Well-versed with Ahmedabad geography and market dynamics.

• Prior experience working with veterinarians, veterinary clinics, breeders, or pet trade channels will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory) and PowerPoint (preferred).

• Ability to build and maintain strong channel partner relationships.

• Strong execution focus and result-oriented mindset.

• Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements

• Candidate must be based in or previously worked in Ahmedabad (HQ).

• Willingness to work extensively in the field and engage directly with channel partners and customers.
