Senior Privacy Compliance Specialist

The Senior Privacy Compliance Specialist supports the development, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of the organization’s Privacy Compliance Program. This role helps ensure compliance with applicable federal and state privacy and data-security requirements governing the organization’s business activities and associated persons. The Senior Privacy Compliance Specialist works collaboratively across the organization to identify and manage privacy compliance risk and support established internal and external regulatory frameworks.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in privacy compliance initiatives, projects, and program enhancements.

  • Draft and maintain corporate privacy policies, procedures, and consumer privacy notices.

  • Support privacy and data-security incident response activities.

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of privacy compliance policies, procedures, monitoring and testing, issues management, training, and reporting.

  • Apply applicable federal and state privacy and data-security requirements, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CAN-SPAM Act, HIPAA, and applicable SEC and FINRA requirements.

  • Enhance and maintain the organization’s privacy risk assessment.

  • Identify privacy compliance issues and support tracking, escalation, remediation, and resolution.

  • Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to address privacy compliance requirements and support business activities.

  • Independently organize and prioritize assigned work, manage deadlines, and adjust priorities based on urgency.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in legal, compliance, regulatory, privacy, or related matters.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of federal and state privacy and data-security laws and regulations applicable to the organization’s business activities.

  • Experience supporting privacy compliance policies, procedures, monitoring and testing, issues management, training, reporting, or risk assessments.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and manage competing deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt communication to different audiences and situations.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while exercising sound judgment and integrity.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience working in a highly regulated financial-services or securities environment.

  • Professional privacy or compliance certification, such as CIPP/US, CIPM, or CRCM.
