Job Summary:

The Consulting Senior Analyst II will be a key contributor to our consulting practice, bringing expertise in the energy and chemical sectors to deliver insightful market analysis and strategic advice to our clients. Projects will revolve around multiple business lines including energy, feedstocks, olefins, plastics, aromatics, inorganics, syngas, and other materials. This position requires experienced graduates with a strong background in analytics and market consultancy.

The position is based at our New Delhi office and will require working closely with our global team on a regular basis. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis for consulting projects.
  • Review and analyse market and pricing data from Dow Jones Energy’s internal databases and publications and carry out secondary / desk research as required. 
  • Apply deep knowledge of the energy/petrochemical/chemical sector to deliver commercial and techno-economic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional consulting and research teams to drive project success.
  • Act as a key team member and lead execution of project specific tasks, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Assist in preparation of project proposals for the clients.
  • Utilize understanding and expertise in the energy/petrochemical/chemical sector to provide commercial or techno-economic insights to the consulting projects.
  • Contribute to team discussions on various consulting projects as a knowledgeable stakeholder.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of B.Sc./B.Eng./B.Tech. degree in chemical engineering or chemistry is required.
  • A postgraduate degree in science or business management will be considered as an advantage.

Experience:

  • Experience in a commercial or techno-economic role in the energy, refining or petrochemical industry or within energy/refining/petrochemical market consultancy is preferred.
  • Broad understanding of the energy and petrochemicals business, the structure of industry, the production technologies, and economic aspects such as energy and chemical markets and pricing is desirable.
  • Proven track record of analytics is essential.
  • Market consultancy work experience is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough research and analysis.
  • Good command of the English language in written and spoken forms. Experience in writing analytical reports is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs.
