About the role:
Join our Corporate Tax team and gain exposure to a broad range of domestic transaction tax matters. In this client-focused role, you'll work closely with businesses to analyse complex data, deliver practical tax solutions, and provide strategic advice that drives commercial outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your tax, business and financial expertise while building your career in a collaborative and high-performing team.
Compile tax returns for corporate entities;
Research tax issues and draft advice, or technical papers;
Prepare tax effect accounting calculations;
Prepare/deliver in-house tax training;
Ability to understand the following concepts; Assessable Income, Allowable Deductions, Capital Allowances, Fringe Benefits Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Loss Provisions, Transfer Pricing and Withholding Tax; and
Develop a basic understanding of the following concepts; Tax consolidation, Employee Incentive Plans and Foreign Income.
About you:
2-3 years' experience in a similar accounting, tax or professional services role.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Finance, with a major in Accounting preferred.
Commenced or nearing completion of the CA Program (or equivalent professional qualification).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide practical commercial insights.
A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn, develop new skills and contribute to team success.
