Main Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts including ensuring daily operation of AR, AP is done accurately and timely.

  • Perform monthly and annual financial closing activities.

  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports and financial statements.

  • Monitor general ledger transactions and maintain accounting records.

  • Provide guidance to junior accounting staff whenever required

Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.

  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are properly supported and reconciled.

  • Resolve discrepancies and follow up on long-outstanding reconciling items.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Review and monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions.

  • Ensure timely vendor payments and customer collections.

  • Handle billing, invoicing, and credit control activities where applicable.

Statutory Compliance & Taxation

  • Assist in preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory requirements, whichever applicable.

  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.

  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation and address audit queries.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.

  • Support finance transformation initiatives, ERP implementation, or automation projects.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Others.

  • Assisting the superior in other designated or non-routine task.

Location 

The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur office located at KL Sentral which is a strategic work location with convenience travelling by Monorail, Rapid Kelana Jaya Line, MRT and KTM services as well as easy to get to go by public transportation.
