We’re looking for a Senior Manager, US Accounting Operations to join our team in Denver.

Opening Date: 1st October 2026

End Date: 15th October 2026

As Senior Accounting Manager, US Accounting Operations, you will support the scaling of Liberty Blume's US accounting capability from our Denver headquarters. Reporting to the Director, US Accounting Operations, you will be accountable for delivering high quality accounting and reporting services for our US customers and supporting the existing UK operation during the ramp up period in the US.

You will lead the customer delivery of accounting and reporting activity, support customer onboarding and transitions, deliver a high quality customer service, and implement scalable ways of working. As the function grows, you will develop accounting professionals, provide technical guidance and lead or develop accounting professionals where required.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, technical capability and the ability to balance customer service, control, quality and pace in a fast-growing environment.

What will you be doing?

Deliver and oversee US customer accounting

•  Oversee assigned end-to-end accounting operations, including period-end close, journals, accruals, reconciliations, balance-sheet governance, intercompany accounting, management reporting and statutory reporting support according to customer scope.

•  Review key accounting outputs for accuracy, completeness and compliance with agreed policies, controls and reporting timetables.

•  Coordinate issue resolution across accounting teams and clearly communicate material risks, judgements, dependencies and decisions.

•  Monitor service performance, investigate root causes and deliver corrective actions where quality, control or timeliness falls below expectations.

Onboard customers and scale delivery

•  Lead or coordinate accounting workstreams for new US customers, including discovery, process assessment, knowledge transfer, documentation, testing and transition into business-as-usual service.

•  Identify capacity, capability and training requirements as customer volume and complexity grow, making clear recommendations to the Director.

•  Support recruitment, onboarding, coaching and development of US accounting colleagues as the team expands.

•  Build trusted working relationships with customer Controllers and Finance teams, acting as a senior point of contact for delivery and escalations.

Improve and automate processes

•  Standardize, simplify and automate accounting processes while protecting required controls and customer outcomes.

•  Partner with systems and automation teams to improve workflows, data quality, reporting and control execution.

•  Document repeatable processes and encourage consistent adoption across customers and the growing US team.

•  Use quality, productivity and customer feedback to prioritize improvements and track benefits.

We tend to look for people with:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

•  CPA license, or equivalent accounting qualification with 7+ years of US accounting experience, preferably with experience in both public accounting and subsequently in an industry setting of operations, controllership, or shared services.

•  Experience leading or coordinating period-end close, balance-sheet reviews and financial reporting to demanding deadlines.

•  Knowledge of internal control over financial reporting and SOX requirements, including documentation, audit support and remediation.

•  Experience leading customer or process transitions and establishing stable delivery.

•  Demonstrated ability to coach colleagues, coordinate teams and influence senior stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.

•  Strong spreadsheet and financial systems capability, with a practical approach to process improvement and automation.

•  Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail and customer focus.

•  Experience directly managing qualified or experienced accountants.

•  Experience with ERP, close-management, workflow or finance automation tools

What’s in it for you?

We offer a competitive salary, bonus & benefits.

The base salary range is $102,400 – $128,000 based on the level of experience.
