As a Senior Accountant at Zone Industries, a UFT company, you will play a key role in the monthly close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and corporate accounting initiatives. Based at our Spring, TX office and reporting to the Controller, you will work closely with finance, operations, and shared services teams across our Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico branches.
Your work ensures timely, accurate financial reporting for Zone Industries and its monthly submission to the UFT Consolidation team.
What you'll do:
Core Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Assist with the monthly financial close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Collaborate with the Controller to ensure reports are complete and accurate.
- Support the annual audit by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Help maintain and document internal control processes in line with SOX-like standards.
- Produce accurate, on-time monthly reporting to Zone Management.
- Ensure Zone Industries meets UFT accounting requirements and policies.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller.

What you bring:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting, U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Epicor Prophet 21 (P21).
- High attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and prioritize accordingly.
- High sense of urgency.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site Monday- Friday in Spring, TX.
- Ability to occasionally travel to branch locations.
- Public accounting and/or private industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, or services.
