Raytheon is hiring for a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer assigned to 2nd shift with the hours of 1:30pm-11pm, Monday - Thursday and every other Friday on a 9/80 schedule.

Candidate will be a shift support engineer and be responsible for the uptime and maintenance of Dry Etch systems and work hands on in a cleanroom environment. The candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of semiconductor processing equipment within the clean room environment. This Includes high levels of experience, electrical, electro-mechanical, and gas systems typically found in a semiconductor operation. Future expansion to support a wider range of equipment is expected.

What You Will Do

  • Diagnose equipment issues using experience, system knowledge, and technical manuals.

  • Triage and repair equipment based on priority and operational needs.

  • Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.

  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and/or repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer 

  • Familiar with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards

  • Read and understand equipment manuals and schematics.

  • Fundamental knowledge of SPC controls with the ability to implement SPC control plans on existing equipment and new equipment installations.

  • Able to document work and provide detailed pass down.

  • Ability to pull and analyze tool date.

  • Experience with predictive maintenance and SPC controls using FDC software.

  • Knowledge of thin‑film metrology (ellipsometry, XRR, TEM, XPS, FTIR).

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and support a dynamic production setting.

  • Proficient use of MS Office products.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
