Security is a career for people with a wide range of skills and backgrounds. Some of the qualities that make an excellent security officer aren't about size or strength. Communication, sound judgement, situational awareness, empathy, confidence and the ability to remain calm under pressure are all critical to providing professional security services.

With a range of rostered shifts available, you may be able to work around important commitments such as school drop-off, school pick-up and family time. If you're looking for a career change, returning to the workforce, or simply looking for an opportunity to develop new skills, we'd love to hear from you. No previous security experience? That's okay training and support will be provided, including the required TSP training. You don't need previous security experience to start the conversation.

About the Role

You will help provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for passengers, airport staff and visitors.

• Passenger and baggage screening

• Access control and security screening

• Monitoring restricted areas and patrols

• Responding to incidents

• Assisting passengers, visitors and members of the public

• Providing professional customer service

• Completing security reports and documentation

We're looking for people who are:

• Professional, reliable and approachable

• Customer-focused and team-oriented

• Calm when dealing with challenging situations

• Willing to learn and develop new skills

• Full Australian work rights with the ability to obtain the required security licence and aviation clearances

• Availability to work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
