Role Overview:

As a SAP DevOps Architect, you will drive technology strategy by researching and recommending cutting-edge solutions to modernize enterprise systems in alignment with organizational goals. In this role, you will translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable IT architectures spanning systems, applications, data, and core processes. You will design and evaluate integrated software, hardware, and data platforms engineered to meet rigorous standards for performance, reliability, scalability, and security. Additionally, you will champion architectural governance within a cross-functional decision group, steering key product and technical trade-offs while providing hands-on direction for end-to-end design and integration initiatives.

 About the role: 

• Design, code, test, and debug custom RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms), and optimize existing business processes.

• ABAP Workbench Debugging, BDC, ALE, IDOCS, FI Validations / Subs.,
  Batch proc., Object based development utilizing SAP classes and methods.

• Extensive SAP ABAP Development and Architecture expertise, Architect and develop Web Services, REST APIs, EDI standards, and EDI/IDOC data mapping to support enterprise connectivity.

• Modify and extend SAP standard programs using the SAP enhancement framework, User Exits, BADIs, Data dictionary objects, Reports, Module Pool prog., BAPIs, RFCs, SAPScript, Conversions, Interfaces and modern Object-Oriented ABAP techniques.

• Collaborate with functional and cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and translate them into robust technical specifications and solutions aligned with architectural standards.

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical defects across IDOCs, Web Services, and RFC interfaces.

• Author and maintain comprehensive technical design documentation, and conduct thorough unit, integration, and release testing.

About you:   

• 7+ years of Extensive hands-on in SAP ABAP development and Architecture.

• Designing and modifying RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) using ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Module Pool programming, BDC, BAPIs, and SAPScript.

• Proven track record in Object-Oriented ABAP (classes and methods) and extending standard SAP programs utilizing the SAP Enhancement Framework, BADIs, and User Exits.

• Strong capability to design, develop, and troubleshoot Web Services, REST APIs, RFCs, and EDI/IDOC data mapping (including ALE and IDoc processing).

• Solid practice in authoring detailed technical specification documents and leading thorough unit, integration, and release testing to validate system functionality.

• Hands-on expertise working in SAP S/4HANA environments, including ABAP on HANA development, code remediation, Core Data Services (CDS Views) and OData models using SAP Gateway Service Builder (SEGW).

• Good working understanding of core SAP modules, particularly FI/CO, AP, AR, and SD, along with FI Validations and Substitutions.

• Experience with SAP Fiori and Gateway development.

• Integration knowledge with third-party tools such as Coupa and the OneSource Tax engine.

• High analytical and problem-solving acumen, capable of debugging complex issues, multitasking, and driving initiatives independently with clear written and verbal communication.
