The Role

Your Role

As an SAP ABAP Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP technical solutions across multiple SAP modules. You will work closely with functional teams to deliver high-quality ABAP developments, integrations, forms, and enhancements while ensuring optimal system performance and alignment with business requirements. You will also contribute to S/4HANA transformation initiatives using modern ABAP technologies.

What will you do:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP ABAP applications including reports, ALV reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Develop and support technical objects using BAPI, RFC, BDC, IDoc, BADI, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
• Build and maintain interfaces for seamless integration between SAP and external systems.
• Develop and enhance SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts based on business requirements.
• Create and maintain Data Dictionary objects including tables, views, domains, data elements, and indexes.
• Perform complex debugging, root cause analysis, and defect resolution for custom and standard SAP applications.
• Optimize application performance using SQL tuning, runtime analysis, and ABAP performance best practices.
• Develop and support modern ABAP solutions using CDS Views, OData Services, and S/4HANA technologies.
• Collaborate with functional consultants across FI, MM, SD, HR, and other SAP modules to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Manage transport requests, technical documentation, code reviews, and deployment activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support testing activities, production issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development across multiple SAP modules.
• Expertise in Reports, ALV Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts.
• Experience with BDC, BAPI, RFC, IDoc, BADI, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework development.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Data Dictionary objects including Tables, Views, Domains, Data Elements, and Indexes.
• Proficiency in ABAP debugging, performance tuning, SQL optimization, and runtime analysis.
• Experience integrating SAP with external systems through IDocs, RFCs, and BAPIs.
• Hands-on experience with SAP transport management and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of SAP development lifecycle, testing, and production support processes.
• Ability to work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA development and modernization projects.
• Hands-on expertise in CDS Views, OData Services, and SAP Fiori application development.
• Exposure to ABAP on HANA concepts and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience working on large-scale SAP implementations, upgrades, or AMS support engagements.
• Knowledge of SAP Workflow, Web Services, and integration technologies.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP development and extension capabilities.
• Experience with code quality reviews, technical governance, and development best practices.
• SAP ABAP and/or SAP S/4HANA Technical certifications are preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within global delivery teams.
