Responsibilities / Tasks

The Sales Manager (Senior) is responsible for driving the growth of the Valves & Pumps business in Thailand through direct customer engagement, distributor development, OEM and EPC business expansion, and strategic market development activities. The role acts as the primary commercial representative of the APAC Valves & Pumps organization in Thailand and is accountable for sustainable business growth and customer success.

  • Drive the sustainable growth of the Valves & Pumps business in Thailand and deliver agreed order intake, revenue and profitability targets.
  • Develop and execute the Thailand market strategy in alignment with the APAC Valves & Pumps business objectives.
  • Manage and strengthen the partnership with the authorized distributor Vatska, including pipeline development, opportunity management, customer coverage and joint business planning.
  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, EPCs, system integrators and end users across target industries.
  • Generate project opportunities through specification selling and early engagement in customer investment projects.
  • Develop key account relationships and establish GEA as the preferred partner for hygienic process solutions.
  • Drive both new equipment and aftermarket business, including spare parts, upgrades, modernization and service opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast and customer database within CRM.
  • Collect and communicate market intelligence, customer insights and competitive information to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate technical and commercial resources across Thailand, the APAC Hub and global stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Promote a One GEA approach and actively collaborate with other Business Units and Service organizations.
  • Support regional growth initiatives, localization programs and strategic projects where required.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, business development or account management, ideally within industrial process equipment or related industries
  • Proven experience in developing distributor, OEM and EPC business channels
  • Experience within dairy, food, beverage, brewery, pharmaceutical or adjacent hygienic process industries is highly desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to generate new business and convert opportunities into orders
  • Ability to engage effectively with customers from engineering to management and executive levels
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach and a high level of ownership
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Thai and English
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
