Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we're excited to hire a Sales Executive to join our growing Client Development team. In this role, you'll build a deep understanding of the Altruist platform and clearly position its capabilities to financial advisors. You'll use consultative selling to build trust, educate advisors, and guide them through the buying process to acquire, retain, and expand business. You'll also help create predictable, scalable growth by sharing advisor feedback, meeting sales service-level agreements, and continuously improving how the team works.

Your impact

  • Deliver results and demonstrate our core values while achieving individual quarterly and annual quota and supporting the success of the broader sales team.
  • Quickly develop a deep understanding of the Altruist platform and effectively position Altruist, the platform, and specific features such as the rebalancer and Model Marketplace.
  • Leverage consultative selling skills to build trust with advisors, educate them, and guide them through the buying process to acquire, retain, and expand business.
  • Systematically capture advisor feedback to help inform company priorities, including the product roadmap and marketing campaigns.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve the sales team while meeting sales service-level agreements and maintaining accurate, complete records in Salesforce.
  • Demonstrate coachability and a growth mindset by absorbing and applying feedback from sales leadership to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

What you bring

  • Experience - At least 5 years of experience as an independent financial advisor, as a sales professional at a B2B financial services, fintech, or SaaS organization, or as a consultant specializing in financial services at a top-tier management consulting firm.
    • A track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong consultative sales skills.
    • The ability to quickly understand complex product features and articulate how they create value for customers.
  • Education - Ideally, a B.A./B.S. degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Economics, etc.
  • Securities licenses - Series 7 and 63 licenses
  • Technical aptitude - Technologically savvy and able to quickly get up to speed on modern tech stacks, including AI and agentic workflows
  • Ownership - You take exceptional pride in every aspect of your work and hold yourself accountable for delivering high-quality results.
  • Superb communication - You practice intentional dialogue, listen thoughtfully, and share your perspective clearly with others.
  • Resilience - You demonstrate unwavering determination to achieve success, even in the face of adversity.
  • Assurance - You bring confident, ego-less judgment; a strong knowledge base; the ability to discover the unknown; and openness to differing perspectives.
  • Creative problem solving - You look beyond identifying problems and bring an instinctively creative approach to overcoming roadblocks.

Compensation

This role has a target compensation range of $265,000–$285,000 OTE (base + variable). Final level and compensation is individualized and will be determined based on overall experience, qualifications, and interview performance.

What we bring

Attracting and retaining top-tier talent is a priority. We are proud of the culture we’ve built and are cognizant of the ever-changing professional landscape. Our dynamic offering of perks and benefits are tailored for you to feel your best while doing your best.

  • Stunning, amenity-filled office spaces in Culver City, CA, San Francisco, CA, and Dallas, TX. Our offices are intentionally designed for comfort, collaboration, and productivity.
  • Competitive pay and equity for eligible positions.
  • Premium healthcare, dental, and vision insurance plans (HMO and PPO).
  • 401k savings plan with a 4% match and immediate vesting.
  • 16 week paid parental leave after one year of employment.
  • Professional growth and development opportunities including an employee mobility program and an annual L&D budget allocation for each employee.
  • Company perks program (includes discounts on pet insurance, fitness, cell phone plans, and travel, etc.).
  • Financial guidance program (includes counseling on navigating debt, tracking personal spend, saving and planning goals, home-purchasing preparedness, etc.).
  • One month work from anywhere policy (with the exception of a few countries).

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package, along with a bonus program for eligible roles. For salaried positions, a salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, internal pay equity, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs regularly to ensure fair, equitable, and competitive pay. At Altruist, we are committed to providing fair, equitable, and competitive compensation by leveraging market data to inform our pay bands. Base salaries will be reviewed at regular intervals throughout the year, typically in conjunction with performance review cycles. By evaluating compensation on a regular basis, we are able to reward high performance and ensure all employees have opportunities for growth.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Altruist we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role, but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
