About this Safety and Compliance Monitoring Manager role at JUST ONE | Recruitment & Executive Search agency
Our client is an aircraft maintenance organisation holding EASA and UK CAA Part-145 approvals, providing line maintenance services across a network of stations in Romania. To strengthen its management team, they are looking for an experienced Compliance Monitoring & Safety Manager to lead the organisation's Compliance Monitoring Programme and Safety Management System.
This is a key nominated post, reporting directly to the Accountable Manager. The successful candidate must be accepted by both the Romanian CAA and the UK CAA (EASA Form 4 / UK CAA Form 4).
- Manage the Compliance Monitoring Programme: plan, conduct and follow up internal audits and inspections across all stations
- Oversee the Safety Management System (SMS) in line with Part-145 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2021/1963 and the UK CAA equivalent
- Investigate occurrences, identify root causes and make sure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and effective
- Act as the main point of contact with the RO CAA and the UK CAA on all compliance matters
- Prepare for, attend and coordinate all external audits on site: RO CAA, UK CAA and customer audits
- Manage findings: classification, root cause analysis, corrective action plans and closure within agreed deadlines
- Report regularly to the Accountable Manager on the performance of the compliance and safety systems
- Maintain the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and related procedures, and manage amendments submitted to the authorities
- Monitor subcontractors and suppliers working under the organisation's approval
- Run the internal occurrence reporting scheme, hazard identification and risk assessment processes
- Promote a strong, open safety culture throughout the organisation, including safety training and communication
Travel
The role requires regular travel to the company's stations in Romania for audits and inspections.
Important
- This is a full-time, on-site role. It cannot be carried out remotely or as a secondary job.
- Both permanent employment and contractor cooperation are accepted.
Requirements
Must have
- Minimum 5 years of experience with a technical background in aircraft maintenance or continuing airworthiness
- Strong knowledge of EASA and UK CAA Part-145 and Part-CAMO regulations
- Solid understanding of Safety Management Systems and compliance monitoring principles
- Proven auditing experience: planning, performing and following up regulatory compliance audits
- Eligibility for acceptance as a nominated person by both the RO CAA and the UK CAA
- English at C1 level, written and spoken
- EU passport and the right to work in the EU
- Availability for a full-time role, on site only
- Willingness to travel regularly to all stations in Romania
