Experience:

• 1-3 years of recent or current technology experience is required with strong preference toward enterprise software diligence and implementation experience in commercial industries; consulting experience and/or PMP certification highly preferred.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary sitting position for at least 75% of the time.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs– specific job duties may require additional lifting to move, transport, position and install equipment.
• Frequently positions self to bend and lift packages.
• Occasional moving & lifting of equipment; bending, lifting, climbing required to position self to maintain computers during engagements.
• Person in position needs to occasionally move about the inside of the office to access machinery, cabinets, etc.
• Person in position frequently communicates with individuals who have inquires. Must be able to exchange information in these situations.
• Ability to work in a high stress environment.   
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are required including a clean driving record.

Job Summary:

The Business Technology Advisory (BTA) Consultant, along with others, provides digital transformation to a diverse array of clients in a unique manner that is proven and unbiased. Example projects include assessment & roadmap, readiness & selection, and implementation advisory for enterprise business applications. Focused industries include construction/specialty contracting, manufacturing & distribution, food & beverage, business & industrial services, and private equity. Our team is focused on aligning business goals and modern technologies to help clients create measurable value.

Responsibilities:

• Acting as an unbiased advisor participating in strategy-level technology projects for digital solutions across a variety of commercial industries
• Conducting business systems assessments to develop business cases and roadmaps for increasing the benefits received from technology solutions.
• Advising on digital transformation initiatives including managing solution evaluations and procurement projects as well as guiding change management and implementation support activities.
• Developing expertise on Plante Moran’s proprietary methodologies and tools as well as contributing to continuous improvement efforts of our internal assets.
• Advancing subject matter skill in enterprise software selection and implementation project management across a variety of commercial industries.
• Developing and displaying acumen in key industrial market segments by understanding business processes, challenges, and trends.
• Demonstrating a passion for industry and technology through research, thought leadership, professional networking, and obtainment of certifications (e.g., PMP).
• Supporting business development activities by networking, attending industry events, developing proposals, and participating in presentations to prospective clients.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.
