Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Seeking RN or Medical Assistant with Experience in Oncology
RN Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.
Licensure:
- Current valid state license.
- A valid driver's license is required for nurses in Home Infusion.
Experience: Not required, experience in Oncology is preferred.
Certifications: CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.
Other: Duties, Requirements, skills:
-Requirements: port draws, labs, rooming and clinic experience
-Skill in assisting and performing a variety of medical treatments and procedures. -Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
-Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies.
-Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
-Basic computer terminal and keyboard skills, or the ability to learn these skills, in order to access information and enter clinical data.
-Equipment Used: Must be able to operate equipment normally related to the specialty of the clinic.
MA Qualifications-Experience in Oncology:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
Additional minimum requirement(s) only for Hospital Outpatient Departments:
Certification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Experience: One year of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
Additional preferred requirement(s) for non-HOD Clinics:
Certification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Knowledge of common outpatient procedures and equipment.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth.
• Demonstrates knowledge of varying differences and behaviors among populations served.
Work Environment:
• Outpatient clinical setting with frequent patient interaction.
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and use of clinical equipment.
• Potential exposure to infectious materials; PPE provided.
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
