About Cheak

We are a fast-growing activewear brand creating versatile, elevated pieces for women on the move. We believe in thoughtful design, community-driven storytelling, and building a brand that empowers confidence from the studio to the street. Our retail story is just getting started, and we're looking for someone to help write it. As part of our founding retail team, you'll set the standards, systems, and culture every future cheak store will be built on. 

Leadership & Team Development 

• Lead and develop a high-performing retail team through coaching, mentorship, and real-time feedback on the floor 
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment 
• Deliver training on brand standards, customer experience, and retail operations 
• Build a positive, collaborative culture where the team is motivated to hit sales targets and operational goals 
• Manage shift rosters, floor coverage, and set daily priorities 
• Support onboarding for new members 
• Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and strong customer service standards 

Guest Experience & Brand Representation 

• Deliver an exceptional, personalized in-store experience that reflects the cheak brand 
• Build authentic relationships with guests and grow a loyal local community 
• Educate guests on product features, fabric technology, fit, colour, and styling recommendations 
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and ensure every guest leaves with a positive experience 
• Maintain strong floor presence and support the team during peak periods 
• Represent the cheak brand authentically through energy, communication, and community engagement 
• Gather customer insights and feedback to share with the broader cheak team 
• Support community-building initiatives including fitness events, pop-ups, workshops, and brand activations 

Retail Operations 

• Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cashiering, stock management, and store upkeep 
• Manage stock flow including replenishment, transfers, returns, damages, and stock takes 
• Execute visual merchandising to brand standards 
• Support operational efficiency and execution of daily retail priorities 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and premium retail environment 
• Use in-store systems and retail technology to enable a smooth and efficient operations and guest experience 

Requirements

• 2+ years in retail, with at least 1 year of leadership experience 
• Experience in retail leadership, supervisor, or team lead is a plus 
• Passion for fitness, wellness, movement, or an active lifestyle 
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire others 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset 
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to hustle in a fast-paced startup environment 
• Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and attention to detail 
• Ability to multitask and stay solutions-oriented under pressure 
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively 
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace is a plus 
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and events
