Job Summary
TYLin’s Rockaway office is looking for a Resident Engineer to play a key role in driving our construction projects forward. In this exciting opportunity, you’ll help expand our PMCM group by building client relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and delivering excellence on existing contracts throughout Central New Jersey and the Northeast region. This role offers the chance to manage multiple projects and lead talented teams, making a lasting impact on both our clients and our growth.Responsibilities & Qualifications
Perform as Resident Engineer on local highway, & bridge transportation projects.
Provide close coordination of work with agency/owner, contractor, utilities and other stakeholders as required.
Implement established project management, construction engineering and inspection safety procedures and guidelines on project(s).
Follow prescribed Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures.
Identify and hire talented PMCM personnel.
Give direction to PMCM staff.
Position the company for construction management contracts as a prime or a major part of a strategic team.
Work with company’s marketing production staff to respond to RFP’s and SOQ’s.
Manage one or more construction management and construction inspection projects.
Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required with a PE or NICET IV
Experience managing projects from local agencies such as NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, NJ Transit and PANYNJ is preferred.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven leadership abilities
Demonstrated record of performance in managing multi-million-dollar construction contracts

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $135,000 - $174,000 annually for this position and local market.
