Research Manager

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Business Area: Insights

Kantar is the world’s leading marketing data and analytics business. We deliver the intelligence needed to power brand growth.

We provide the signals that help organisations act quickly and confidently. We empower brands to make effective marketing decisions based on predictive evidence. And we help them craft powerful growth strategies rooted in the connection between consumers, brands and enterprise value.

All this is powered by our uniquely robust human and synthetic data, our unrivalled IP, our AI-native platform and the team of global brand experts that bring this all together.

Are you ready to turn research into clear direction for some of the world’s leading brands?

We’re looking for a Research Manager to join our Insights team in Ho Chi Minh City. In this role, you’ll help clients understand people, markets and opportunities through high-quality quantitative research.

You’ll manage research programmes from the first client conversation through to the final presentation. You’ll listen carefully to each client’s needs and recommend an approach that answers their most important questions. You’ll then shape proposals, questionnaires, budgets and project plans that set every study up for success.

This role combines client partnership, project leadership and analytical thinking. You’ll work closely with clients and colleagues throughout each project. You’ll keep delivery on track while maintaining strong standards for quality, timing and commercial performance.

  • You’ll also support junior colleagues as they develop their research and client management skills. You’ll share practical guidance, review their work and help them select suitable research methods. Your experience will help the wider team deliver consistent and meaningful outcomes.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to build trusted client relationships and contribute to business growth. You’ll use evidence to explain what matters, why it matters and what clients can do next.

  • This position could suit you if you enjoy managing complex projects and communicating insights clearly. It could also suit someone who values collaboration, continuous learning and thoughtful client service.

You don’t need to meet every preferred qualification to apply. If you bring relevant quantitative research experience and a willingness to learn, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build trusted client relationships and recommend research solutions based on their business and information needs.

  • Prepare proposals, project costs, budgets and timelines, with appropriate support for junior colleagues.

  • Lead quantitative research projects across questionnaire design, fieldwork, data processing, analysis, reporting and presentations.

  • Manage several projects while maintaining quality, agreed timelines and commercial objectives.

  • Guide junior colleagues on research methods, project delivery and client communication.

Ideal Skills & Experience

  • Around five years of experience in quantitative research, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Confidence managing research projects and communicating with clients.

  • Strong numerical, analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Clear written, verbal and presentation skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

  • A degree or equivalent practical experience. Knowledge of statistical or analytical techniques would be helpful, but is not essential.

Why join Kantar?

We shape the brands of tomorrow by better understanding people everywhere. By understanding people, we can understand what drives their decisions, actions, and aspirations on a global scale. And if we combine the expertise of our people with the latest AI technology, we can really help brands discover some amazing insights.

And because we know people, we like to make sure our own people are being looked after as well. Equality of opportunity for everyone is our highest priority and we support our colleagues to work in a way works for them. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and sections of society. Even if you feel like you’re not an exact match, we’d love to receive your application and talk to you about this job or others at Kantar.
