This role is responsible for turning complex procurement, vendor, contract, spend, risk, and operational data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. The Reporting Analyst will partner closely with functional stakeholders to define reporting needs, build scalable dashboards and recurring reports, improve data quality and consistency, and identify new ways to synthesize information that supports decision-making, risk management, and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

Depending on project assignment, responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance procurement reporting across Third-Party Risk Management, Strategic Sourcing, Contracts, Accounts Payable, and Corporate Workspace Solutions
  • Design and deliver executive-level dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools
  • Translate complex data sets into concise insights, trends, risks, and recommendations for senior leadership and functional stakeholders
  • Partner with procurement, risk, finance, technology, and operations teams to define reporting requirements, standardize metrics, and improve reporting governance
  • Analyze vendor, spend, contract, invoice, sourcing, third-party risk, and workspace-related data to identify performance trends, process gaps, control issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Create clear data visualizations and leadership materials that communicate business performance, risk indicators, and progress against key initiatives
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and rapid-turnaround reporting requests, including leadership updates, management committee materials, and project-specific reporting needs
  • Improve data quality by identifying inconsistencies, reconciling source data, documenting assumptions, and partnering with data owners to resolve issues
  • Develop new ways to automate, streamline, and scale reporting processes, including appropriate use of AI-enabled tools and analytics capabilities
  • Maintain reporting documentation, definitions, data lineage, refresh schedules, and controls to support consistent and repeatable reporting practices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or data visualization experience within a supply chain, procurement, sourcing, third-party risk, finance, or corporate services function
  • Prior experience supporting procurement reporting, including exposure to vendor spend, sourcing pipeline, contract lifecycle, third-party risk, accounts payable, invoice, or operational performance data
  • Demonstrated proficiency developing dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau; experience building reporting models, calculated fields/measures, filters, drilldowns, and executive-ready visualizations
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, metric definition, data quality management, and reporting governance in a complex organization
  • Experience operating in a regulated, risk, compliance, or control-based environment, with the ability to handle sensitive business information appropriately
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical application of AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, reporting, automation, and business operations
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple reporting priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs with limited oversight
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis and actionable insights

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Advanced Power BI and Tableau skills, including dashboard development, data modeling, visualization design, and performance optimization
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, formulas, data validation, and large data set analysis
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into concise, leadership-ready narratives, visuals, and recommendations
  • Strong analytical judgment with the ability to distinguish signal from noise and identify what matters for executive decision-making
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data, assumptions, limitations, and business implications clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, shaping reporting structure where none exists, and building repeatable reporting processes from fragmented inputs
  • Strong attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to data validation, version control, documentation, and quality assurance
  • Advanced AI prompting and prompt engineering skills, with hands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot to accelerate analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with procurement and finance systems such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Fieldglass, Icertis, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, Alteryx, Power Automate, or similar data preparation and automation tools is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to create polished executive materials

What’s in it for you?

  • High-visibility role partnering closely with Chief Corporate Services Office leadership
  • Opportunity to shape how procurement data, reporting, and insights are delivered across a complex, evolving organization
  • Exposure to a broad portfolio of procurement, third-party risk, sourcing, contracts, accounts payable, and corporate workspace initiatives
  • Opportunity to modernize reporting through business intelligence, automation, and AI-enabled analytics
  • Environment that values intellectual curiosity, practical problem-solving, data-driven thinking, and continuous improvement
  • Strong professional growth and development opportunities within MUFG
  • Comp range for this role is 106k-130k
