Job Description Summary
As a Repair Technician 1 at GE Healthcare LLC, you will be responsible for the basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of medical imaging equipment and other GE Healthcare products, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Disassemble systems, clean all components, and repair/replace damage parts
Reassemble systems and install required options and accessories
Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure calibrations are complete
Evaluate and identify damaged components, order replacement parts, and create work orders
Verify correct system operation through diagnostic and functional tests
Identify, segregate, and disposition/redirect product that fails acceptance criteria
Comply with all Quality Management System requirements and applicable laws/regulations
Meet and maintain all required training records and comply with all site safety policies
Complete any required service corrective actions and system software/hardware upgrades
Properly utilize controlled, released documentation to perform all work tasks and processes
Record all test results and update Device History Records for each piece of equipment
Maintain accurate inventory records including status/location of parts and systems
Drive product quality by identifying manufacturing issues and assist with corrections
Work with engineers, team, and site leaders to improve process quality and efficiency
Focus on improving on-time delivery and overall customer outcomes/experience
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Associate's degree in electronics, biomedical technology, or a related technical field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in equipment repair, preferably in a healthcare or technical environment.
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Proficiency with basic hand tools and test equipment.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
