Jobs Companies Satispay Regulatory Compliance Officer

About this Regulatory Compliance Officer role at Satispay

Satispay · Hybrid · Luxembourg, Luxembourg

About us

Traditional banking has never really given you control over your financial life. Satispay exists to change that: to empower people through finance.

That means making financial services easy and accessible for over 6.5M users. We started with payments, then benefits, investing, cards... and we’re not done. Not even close. We follow the same logic every time: find a real problem, solve it properly, then look for the next one. The destination? To build the most loved financial platform in the world. If you own outcomes rather than tasks, stay close to what users need, and refuse to wait for someone else to fix what's broken — you'll find people here who work exactly in the same way. And together, you'll build something worth being proud of.

What you'll be doing

As our Regulatory Compliance Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in the innovation of new products and the ongoing oversight of our existing offerings, supporting the business in embedding compliance by design.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • Regulatory analysis – Identify, analyze, and monitor European regulatory obligations (especially Luxembourg and Italy) and market practices relevant to Satispay.

  • Product compliance – Partner with the Product team to support new launches and ensure continuous compliance of existing features.

  • Risk & gap assessment – Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses across operations and products, evaluating new initiatives and existing features against evolving regulatory standards.

  • Policy framework support – Assist in managing internal policies, regulatory developments, manuals, and procedures.

  • Monitoring & reviews – Execute the Compliance Monitoring Programme and thematic reviews to highlight weaknesses and issue recommendations.

  • Reporting to leadership – Create compliance reports for senior management.

Who we're looking for

This role needs someone proactive and analytical, capable of translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable business solutions while balancing rapid innovation with prudent risk management.

  • Compliance experience – 3+ years in Compliance or Audit, ideally within a Fintech environment.

  • EU regulatory knowledge – Solid practical understanding of PSD2, DORA, AML, SEPA, CCD2, and broader EU financial frameworks (GDPR and MiFID II are a bonus).

  • Product lifecycle expertise – Proven track record of collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to define compliant requirements for new and existing products.

  • Cross-team communication – Skilled at engaging with diverse stakeholders as a trusted advisor to enable safe innovation.

  • QA & monitoring – Hands-on experience conducting compliance quality assurance and monitoring activities.

  • Task management – Strong capability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.

Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We believe in the power of different viewpoints and strengths. Your unique perspective is important as we build something special: if you're passionate and can make a difference, we truly encourage you to apply.
