About this Registered Veterinary Nurse role at Medivet

Our 24 Hour Hospital is looking for a passionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our established and supportive nursing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse with a particular interest in surgical nursing who is looking to further develop their skills within a busy, well-equipped hospital environment.
As a referral-level first opinion hospital, we benefit from a varied and interesting caseload, providing exposure to a wide range of surgical procedures, advanced diagnostics, and complex medical cases. This role will have a strong focus on surgical nursing and imaging, making it ideal for a nurse who enjoys theatre practice, anaesthesia, perioperative patient care, and supporting advanced diagnostic procedures. You will work closely with experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses, playing a key role in delivering outstanding patient care throughout every stage of the patient journey.
While the primary focus of the role is surgical nursing, flexibility is important within a hospital setting, and there may be occasions where ward nursing support is required. We are therefore looking for a team player who is committed to maintaining exceptional standards of patient care across all areas of the hospital.

About you
You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.
What you’ll be doing
Typically, in this role, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
- Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
- Deliver exceptional care to your clients
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
