About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) within our Withdrawal Management Service, you will provide specialised detoxification nursing care, comprehensive clinical assessments, and ongoing physical and mental health support to clients experiencing substance withdrawal.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, respect, recovery, and positive outcomes for individuals navigating some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

What You'll Be Doing

•  Conducting comprehensive nursing and withdrawal assessments
•  Monitoring and managing withdrawal symptoms in line with clinical guidelines
•  Administering and dispensing medications safely and accurately
•  Providing crisis intervention, triage, and clinical decision-making support
•  Supporting admissions, discharges, clinical documentation, and shift handovers
•  Collaborating with visiting Medical Officers and multidisciplinary teams
•  Delivering culturally safe and trauma-informed care
• Contributing to continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years' nursing experience, ideally within Alcohol & Other Drugs, Mental Health, or Withdrawal Management settings
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and intervention skills
• Knowledge of withdrawal management and addiction recovery principles
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building abilities
• Commitment to providing compassionate, recovery-oriented care
• Current Driver Licence
• Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and overnight shifts
• Current Queensland Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
