$38.20 - $57.30A sign-on bonus is available to applicants who have not received a sign-on bonus from the company for another role within the past 24 months.
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high- quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an acute care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
Where You’ll Work:
Step into our dynamic Med/Surg Overflow Unit and unleash your observation nursing skills. With just 9 beds, this unit offers a diverse array of patients with various diagnoses. From direct admissions from medical offices, hospitals, and clinics across the organization to pre-surgery patients awaiting their procedures and even those in recovery, our scope is broad and ever-evolving.
We’re Looking For:
- Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program
- Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
What You’ll Do
- Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care across the continuum by leveraging the nursing process, administering treatments per protocol, and adapting care based on patient needs.
- Collaborate effectively with the care team while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and upholding professional standards, ethics, and ongoing development (including flexibility to float as needed).
