Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED) | Mercy St. Louis

Overview

Join the Emergency Department at Mercy St. Louis, where experienced nurses thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that demands strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork. As a member of our ED team, you'll care for a diverse patient population ranging from minor illnesses and injuries to complex medical emergencies, trauma, stroke, cardiac, and critical care cases.

The Emergency Department offers experienced nurses the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, utilizing advanced assessment skills and evidence-based interventions to deliver timely, life-saving care. Working alongside emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams, ED nurses play a vital role in rapid decision-making, patient stabilization, and care coordination across the continuum.

Position Details:

EXPERIENCED NURSES PREFERRED

Part Time Shifts Available:

Two 8-hour shifts - 7a-3p, 11a-7p, 3p-11p, 7p-3a, 11p-7a

Two 12-hour shifts - 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a

🎓 Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program

Licensure:

• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact)

• Must meet all state Board of Nursing requirements

Certifications:

BLS (AHA) required — or completed within 30 days of hire ❤️

About Mercy

Transforming the Health of Our Communities Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream.
