Provide professional nursing care for patient(s) and respective family according to established standards and practices.

Qualifications
2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state accredited school (Required)
4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Work Experience
1+ years Nursing Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license

Essential Functions
STANDARDS OF NURSING PRACTICE:
Provide professional standards in practicing nursing.
Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
Analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues.
Identifies the expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives for expected outcomes.
Implements the identified plan.
Evaluates the progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.

Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).
Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.

For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
