Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a RN Behavioral Health SME to fill a position with a Non-Profit organization located in Jericho, NY. This 1099 contract role serves as a Behavioral Health Subject Matter Expert, providing clinical expertise in the development of resources and identification of best practices around evidence-based guidelines to identify and treat tobacco use disorder (TUD). This position is ideal for an experienced RN with a strong behavioral health background and a passion for quality improvement and public health initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a behavioral health field or equivalent.
  • Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in New York State.
  • Experience:
    • At least three (3) years of experience working on behavioral health-related projects.
    • Experience in quality improvement is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in developing resources, identifying best practices, and contributing to report writing and deliverables.
  • Additional Requirement: Significant experience in Behavioral Health and Quality Improvement (QI), particularly hands-on experience with PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) cycles.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong clinical expertise in behavioral health and tobacco use disorder.
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project leads and team members.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Behavioral Health (BH) Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Works with the Department of Health (DOH), statewide Behavioral Health Workgroup, and tobacco cessation stakeholders to support the Tobacco-Free Health Systems contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental scans.
  • Develop tools, resources, and educational content.
  • Create content for the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Develop and deliver local and statewide presentations.

2. Quality Improvement Advisor (QIA)
Works with Regional Implementation Contractors, health systems, and healthcare providers to support implementation of the Tobacco-Free Health Systems contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support regional implementation efforts.
  • Collaborate with health systems and providers on quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to advance tobacco cessation efforts.

  • Work Schedule: The contractor must work 20 to 24 hours per week. Monday to Friday, during office hours (day shift).
    Weekend and Holiday Availability
    The contractor is not regularly available to work on weekends or holidays. However, the Contractor may be required to attend brief meetings or training sessions on weekends or holidays, as reasonably necessary and with advance notice.
