The ideal candidate has prior experience working with children with developmental abilities, ASD and is empathetic and understanding of the impact of a diagnosis and treatment have on the family. As an RBT, you will provide individualized treatment using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based approach that utilizes effective strategies to improve the lives of others. Essential Job Functions

  • Under supervision of the Clinical Manager, implements in clinic, home/ and community-based intervention for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum.
  • Responsible for providing efficient and effective service in all areas of performance.
  • Completes necessary documentation within required timeframe
  • Attends staff meetings, trainings, and other meetings as requested.
  • Responsible to complete additional job duties as assigned by Supervisors/Management.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities in a direct care capacity preferred.
  • RBT Certification preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Previous experience providing education, coaching and support to families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities a plus.
  • Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
  • A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience
    and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters, including maintaining HIPAA requirements.
  • Aptness to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Propensity to appropriately implement policies, procedures, and regulations of the organization; training provided.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/Microsoft processing software and excel. Must be able to use an iPhone or work cell phone if applicable.
  • Work in an exciting, fast paced high energy environment while effectively multitasking and managing day-to-day responsibilities without supervision.
  • Personable; able to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills; frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
  • Travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day.
  • Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.
  • Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings.
  • Utilize computer and iPad for effective communication.
  • Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients; occasional emergency situation; occasional exposure to trauma; constant client contact and decision making; constant concentration required when working with clients.
  • Aptness to physically implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
  • Travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation needed.
  • Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Safety Care certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NPI number.
  • Must attend any required training.

Full time


Compensation:

$18-28 hourly (DOE)
