Position Summary
Dauch is seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Security Manager, Asia to lead all security-related activities across our operations in Asia. This role is responsible for implementing Dauch's global, risk-driven security strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate threats that could impact our people, assets, facilities, operations, and reputation.
The Regional Security Manager will work closely with global and regional stakeholders to ensure compliance with corporate security standards, maintain situational awareness of geopolitical and security developments, and proactively address emerging risks across the region. This position requires a strong understanding of enterprise security management, crisis response, intelligence analysis, investigations, and physical security operations.
Key Responsibilities
Security Leadership & Governance
- Implement and oversee regional security procedures aligned with Dauch's Global Security policies and standards.
- Assess business operations and establish appropriate security controls across all Asia locations.
- Analyze security assessments, audits, and intelligence data to identify vulnerabilities affecting personnel, facilities, operations, and assets.
- Serve as the primary security representative and trusted advisor for all security matters within the Asia region.
- Partner with Human Resources, Legal, EHS, IT, Supply Chain, Operations, and plant leadership to support regional security objectives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with law enforcement agencies, government authorities, security organizations, and intelligence-sharing networks.
- Support global security initiatives and lead assigned areas of expertise as directed by the Head of Global Security.
Physical Security
- Lead regional security programs related to access control, guarding services, visitor management, intrusion detection, and security technologies.
- Evaluate and enhance security systems, facility protection measures, and site security programs.
- Ensure all regional locations comply with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage contracted security providers and monitor service delivery against established performance expectations.
- Oversee visitor management programs and ensure compliance with Dauch security requirements.
Investigations
- Manage and coordinate security investigations throughout the Asia region under the direction of Global Security leadership.
- Conduct or support interviews of witnesses and involved parties to identify causes of security incidents and policy violations.
- Document investigative findings and support efforts to recover losses, pursue legal action, or implement corrective measures when appropriate.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on workplace concerns, involuntary terminations, threats, employee misconduct investigations, and behavioral risk assessments.
- Partner with local law enforcement agencies as required during investigations and incident response activities.
Travel Security & Intelligence
- Monitor regional geopolitical developments, security threats, and operational risks that could impact Dauch personnel or operations.
- Assess threat levels and develop risk mitigation strategies based on intelligence provided by the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
- Support and advise employees traveling within the region and coordinate risk mitigation plans for higher-risk destinations.
- Collaborate with other Regional Security Managers when travel involves multiple geographic regions.
- Collect, evaluate, and communicate relevant intelligence to the GSOC to support enterprise-wide awareness and response planning.
- Determine the impact of security intelligence on regional operations and recommend appropriate actions.
Crisis Management & Emergency Response
- Review and maintain crisis management and emergency response procedures across Asia operations.
- Coordinate security responses during emergency incidents and business disruptions.
- Partner with country and site leadership teams to manage security-related crises and recovery efforts.
- Provide real-time situational updates and critical incident information to the GSOC for global coordination and communication.
Executive Protection & Event Security
- Support regional leadership and special initiatives by planning and coordinating event security requirements.
- Manage executive travel security programs in partnership with Global Security and approved security vendors.
- Coordinate protective security measures for executive visits, business-critical events, and high-profile activities.
- Liaise with law enforcement and government officials when required.
- Ensure appropriate security support for international assignees and their families throughout the region.
Required Skills and Education
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant experience leading corporate security programs across multiple countries.
- Proven experience in physical security, investigations, intelligence analysis, crisis management, and executive protection.
- Strong understanding of geopolitical risk assessment and enterprise security management.
- Experience working with law enforcement agencies, government organizations, and external security providers.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the Asia region as required.
Preferred
- Professional security certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PCI (Professional Certified Investigator), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or equivalent.
- Prior experience supporting multinational manufacturing or industrial operations.
- Experience working within a global security organization.
