Summary of the Role

The Regional Pricing Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue, profitability, and market positioning. The role influences product positioning, defines segmentation pricing strategy, ensures competitive pricing, and contributes directly to financial success of the region. By combining analytical rigor, strategic insight, and cross-functional collaboration, the Regional Pricing Manager ensures that pricing decisions support both short-term profitability and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The Regional Pricing Manager is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing pricing strategies for products and customers. The incumbent will work with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to align pricing strategies with overall business goals. Core duties include:

  • Partner with country commercial, marketing, and finance teams to drive the adoption and implementation of regional pricing strategies, ensuring consistent execution and governance across markets.

  • Develop regional pricing frameworks, price corridors, and governance mechanisms that optimize revenue growth, margin expansion, and market competitiveness across product portfolios.

  • Work with respective entity business unit teams to execute pricing actions, including training the sales & marketing teams and establishing an efficient pricing process in the entities.

  • Analyse market trends, reimbursement policies and competitor pricing to identify opportunities and threats, ensuring prices remain competitive while maximizing profit

  • Monitor pricing performance and update pricing guidelines based on market changes, customer behaviour, and internal cost structures

  • Manage pricing databases and software systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing information; Develop and maintain pricing performance dashboards and KPIs to monitor price realization, discount leakage, margin performance, and pricing compliance.

  • Provide commercial and financial recommendations on contract pricing, tender submissions, discount structures, and promotional programs to maximize profitability while supporting growth objectives

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to pricing

  • Involvement in finance projects as required by the organisation

Functional / Technical Skills

  • Advanced pricing strategy expertise including value-based pricing, price corridor design, portfolio pricing, contract pricing, tender pricing, and reimbursement economics

  • Experience in conducting price-volume-mix (PVM) and margin optimization analyses

  • Strong understanding of pricing governance, discount management, and gross-to-net management

  • Proven track record driving pricing initiatives across multiple countries and cultures

  • Experience with pricing tools, software, and data analysis to support decision-making

Education & Experience

  • Degree in business, finance, or marketing

  • 8-10 years of experience, with at least 3 years experience in pricing, commercial operations or marketing

  • Pro-active attitude with strong influencing skills
