As Regional Demand Planner, you will connect Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain across Asia to build robust forecasts, manage new product introductions and guide fact-based decisions through the S&OP process.
- Own regional short- and mid-term demand forecasts across countries, channels and customer segments.
- Lead forecast enrichment and regional demand reviews with commercial and supply stakeholders.
- Use analytics to improve forecast accuracy, reduce bias and support portfolio and inventory decisions.
- Drive practical process improvements in an international, cross-functional environment.
Make a difference as a Regional Demand Planner
As a Regional Demand Planner, you'll be responsible for:
- Create and manage short- and mid-term demand forecasts, including new product introductions, at regional, country, channel and customer level, based on potential sales and future demand.
- Segment product forecasts to determine appropriate forecast profiles. Collaborate with the Demand Planning Consolidation Specialist to improve forecast accuracy, parameter settings and statistical forecasts, including customer-order-history cleansing and outlier correction.
- Manage the forecast enrichment process with Sales and Marketing. Analyse sales activities, new product introductions and seasonal effects to improve forecast quality.
- Perform supply-demand constraint checks. When gaps arise, coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders and customers and maintain a constrained forecast.
- Prepare and lead Regional Demand Reviews. Lead reviews for smaller regions and report outcomes to stakeholders as part of the S&OP process.
- Support budgeting and quarterly latest-estimate processes in value and volume by preparing bottom-up forecasts and comparing them with budget.
- Work closely with regional Sales, Finance, Demand Planning and Portfolio Management, providing analysis that supports portfolio optimisation.
- Monitor, analyse and improve personal and departmental KPIs, including forecast accuracy, forecast value add, forecast error and forecast bias.
- Perform regional SKU-complexity analysis and discuss findings with Marketing, Sales and the central Demand Planning team.
- Initiate process-improvement projects and lead change-impact activities that embed continuous improvement.
What you bring as a future colleague
You combine strong analytical thinking with the ability to align diverse stakeholders. You can translate market and customer information into a clear demand outlook, challenge assumptions constructively and keep decisions moving when demand and supply do not align.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional thinking level, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in demand planning, supply chain planning or a related commercial planning environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-interrogation skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with commercial teams, customers, Finance and Customer Service & Logistics functions.
- Solid understanding of integrated planning processes and the technical capability to use advanced planning, ERP and other business systems.
- Ability to initiate and lead change and to drive continuous improvement. Ability to lead demand reviews and the financial latest-estimate process.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
