Working at our Clearwater Location: Clearwater is a provider of engineering, circuit card assembly, OEM Avionics, and MRO services to commercial and military customers, with products and technologies that are diverse and highly sophisticated. Are you detail-oriented and motivated by quality? As a Receiving Inspector, you will support incoming inspection activities for electrical components and materials used in production and repair operations. In this hands-on role, you will perform visual and dimensional inspections, review required quality documentation, maintain traceability records, and help ensure only conforming material enters the business.

This role is a good fit for candidates with experience in inspection, manufacturing, assembly, receiving, or other detail-focused production support environments who can follow defined procedures, use basic computer systems, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming visual and dimensional inspections on electrical components and materials to identify damage, defects, or nonconformances.

  • Verify quality documentation, including Certificates of Conformance (COC), Certificates of Analysis (COA), and First Article Inspection (FAI) packages.

  • Accurately document inspection results in the Quality Management System according to established procedures.

  • Maintain traceability by assigning serial numbers, scanning documents, and managing inspection records.

  • Communicate inspection issues to Quality and Receiving leadership for timely resolution.

  • Safely handle and move materials up to 20 pounds while following site safety and ESD requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support discrepancy resolution activities, including RMA initiation and documentation, under Quality guidance.

  • Use internal systems such as TIPQA, Oracle, and document management tools to support receiving and inspection activities.

  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory verification activities as needed to support receiving accuracy.

  • Work with Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, Fulfillment, and Receiving teams when material discrepancies arise.

  • Complete required internal training, including J-STD certification within 30 days of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to read and understand technical instructions, drawings, and specifications.

  • Experience in manufacturing, receiving, inspection, assembly, warehouse, or other detail-oriented operational work. This broadens the candidate pool while staying aligned to the work described.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and system navigation.

  • Willingness and ability to obtain J-STD certification within 30 days.

  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining. 

  • Ability to work with hazardous materials and in non-standard shift environments as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in incoming inspection, quality, electronics assembly, or receiving.

  • Familiarity with COCs, COAs, FAIs, or similar quality documentation.

  • Exposure to systems such as TIPQA, Oracle, Windchill, Webdocs, Proficy, or Smartsheet.

  • Experience with cycle counts, traceability records, or inventory transactions.

  • Soldering experience or electronics background.

  • IPC-A-610 knowledge, Class 3 preferred.
