Rare Diseases Product Manager

This role is critical in shaping and executing the strategy for a rare disease portfolio, ensuring that patients, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders benefit from innovative solutions that address significant unmet medical needs. The Rare Diseases Product Manager will lead cross-functional collaboration, drive brand performance, and develop impactful commercialization strategies aligned with local and global objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, optimize brand performance, and deliver exceptional results. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, project management skills, and a passion for improving the lives of patients living with rare diseases.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Country Brand Plan and/or Launch Readiness Plan in alignment with the global brand strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional Brand Teams and facilitate Brand, Cycle, and Launch meetings to drive execution excellence and sales force engagement.
  • Design and implement promotional initiatives, including sales materials, campaigns, congress activities, and customer engagement programs, ensuring consistency with global messaging.
  • Own the brand budget and operational expenses, partnering with Finance to monitor performance, manage investments, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Develop forecasts, sales targets, and long-term planning scenarios in collaboration with Business Unit leadership.
  • Lead Business Reviews, Strategic Brand Plans, and Launch Readiness Reviews with local and global stakeholders.
  • Generate actionable insights through market analysis, customer research, and competitive intelligence, translating findings into effective action plans.
  • Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, and other key functions to optimize brand performance and identify business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with regional and global colleagues, acting as the key point of contact for commercial execution and knowledge sharing across affiliates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Rare Diseases within a large pharmaceutical company in similar roles.
  • Experience in product launches, brand management, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
