This role requires to ensure Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) compliance across Rail Metro Projects by performing RAMS assurance activities, hazard management, safety assessments, and safety evidence generation, ensuring systems meet operational, regulatory, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

What will you do?

RAMS Assurance

  • Implement RAMS activities in accordance with project requirements, EN 50126/50128/50129 standards, and client specifications.
  • Develop and maintain RAMS plans, assurance strategies, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor RAMS requirements throughout design, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

Hazard & Safety Management

  • Establish and maintain the Project Hazard Log.
  • Conduct hazard identification workshops, risk assessments, and safety analyses.
  • Track mitigation actions and ensure timely closure of safety-related issues.

Safety Case & Evidence Development

  • Prepare and maintain Safety Case documentation and safety evidence required for system acceptance.
  • Support safety certification, independent safety assessments, and regulatory submissions.
  • Coordinate collection and review of safety-related documentation from project stakeholders.

Reliability & Maintainability Analysis

  • Perform RAM analysis, FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis, and reliability assessments.
  • Support optimization of system reliability, availability, and maintainability targets.
  • Review design solutions to improve lifecycle performance and operational efficiency.

Interface & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with Engineering, System Integration, Testing & Commissioning, Operations, and Independent Safety Assessors (ISA).
  • Support design reviews, safety reviews, and project assurance meetings.
  • Ensure RAMS requirements are incorporated into project deliverables.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, railway safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare RAMS reports, hazard status reports, and assurance documentation.
  • Support audits, assessments, and project acceptance activities.

Experience, Education and other Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Systems Engineering,
  • Overall, 20 years of experience of handling RAMS, System Assurance, Safety Engineering, or System Integration in large EPC electrical infrastructure Project with minimum 10 years of RAMS experience within Rail/Metro Projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, RAMS Analysis & Assurance, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment, FMEA/FMECA & Fault Tree Analysis, Safety Case Development, System Integration & Testing, Railway Safety Standards and Certification.
  • Preferred Industry Experience: Metro Rail, Urban Transit, Railway Electrification, Signaling, Rolling Stock, High-Speed Rail, and Transportation Infrastructure Projects.
