Job Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our team at our brand-new West End Endocrinology and Rheumatology Clinic. This is a unique opportunity to help establish imaging services in a newly built specialty clinic featuring state-of-the-art imaging technology, including brand-new radiography and bone densitometry equipment.
This position will primarily perform bone density (DEXA) examinations and diagnostic X-ray studies while supporting a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced outpatient environment and be excited about helping build and grow services in a new clinical space.

  • Bone Densitometry Certification (ARRT BD) or previous DEXA experience (strongly preferred, but not required at the time of hire)

POSITION HIGHTLIGHTS:

  • Experienced technologists must be willing to earn BD credentials.

  • $10,000 sign on bonus for full-time positions.

  • Industry competitive rates.

  • Full-time | Dayshift | 5x8s | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

  • No evenings, weekends, holidays, or call requirements.

  • Located at Vanderbilt Health West End – Endocrinology & Rheumatology Clinic.

  • The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months.

  • The sign-on bonus is only available for full-time positions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.

  • Perform bone density (DEXA) examinations for osteoporosis screening and monitoring.

  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the imaging process.

  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining radiation safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.

  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinic staff to support efficient patient care.

  • Assist with maintaining imaging equipment and exam rooms in accordance with Vanderbilt Health standards.


TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Diagnostic Equipment (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the use of diagnostic tools in practical applications of moderate difficulty.

  • Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.

  • Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
