Guided by our leadership vision of valuing people, embracing agility, and fostering growth, we cultivate an innovative culture that empowers you to achieve your full potential. Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.
Job Description:
Ready for a challenge as a data and performance analyst that will let you influence the evaluation and modernization of the next generation of radar systems? We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical candidate to join a radar scient and technology evaluation team. As part of this team, you will work closely with radar subject matter experts, systems engineers, and government stakeholders to evaluate complex sensor data products, characterize multi-system performance, and uncover critical performance trends against key operational metrics.
In this role, you will dive deeply into underlying telemetry and radar tracking data to understand how complex systems acquire targets, maintain track files, and generate target solutions. You will leverage MATLAB and Microsoft Excel to process, aggregate, and analyze multi-source data feeds, translating raw technical data into meaningful performance insights. An essential part of your work will involve synthesizing technical findings into executive-level briefing decks and presentations, communicating results clearly to cross-functional engineering teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ingest, parse, and evaluate structured data products generated from multiple radar and sensor systems using MATLAB and advanced Microsoft Excel models.
- Establish, maintain, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as track initiation timelines, track continuity, false alarm/track ratios, positional accuracy, and solution generation metrics.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and trend evaluation across varied test configurations, operational scenarios, and environmental conditions to identify system performance anomalies and degradation patterns.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of underlying radar operating principles, signal/data processing pipelines, target tracking algorithms, and kinematic solution generation logic.
- Dive deep into raw telemetry and low-level data streams to investigate root causes of unexpected track behavior or discrepancies between expected and observed performance.
- Organize, maintain, and document test datasets, analytical scripts, data parsing routines, and standard performance metrics reporting workflows.
- Collaborate closely with radar subject matter experts, systems engineers, and government stakeholders to identify promising areas for system refinement and performance optimization.
- Synthesize complex numerical data into clear, visually compelling graphical reports and PowerPoint presentations.
- Present analytical findings, trends, and actionable recommendations in regular briefings to team members, project managers, and mission stakeholders.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of experience performing data analysis, trend identification, or performance evaluation on complex technical datasets.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MATLAB for data wrangling, mathematical analysis, and visualization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, PivotTables, data modeling, and chart creation).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail and rigorous data organization habits.
- Strong curiosity and desire to learn radar principles, target tracking mechanics, and complex sensor systems from the ground up.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to create clear presentation decks and brief technical results to varied audiences.
- Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance).
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Coursework, training, or practical experience in radar fundamentals, digital signal processing (DSP), RF principles, or target tracking / Kalman filtering.
- Experience handling DoD test range telemetry formats, mission data logs, or multi-sensor tracking data products.
- Experience scripting with Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn)
- Experience building standardized dashboards or automated reporting templates for technical leadership.
