This role focuses on routine instrument support, solution preparation, data acquisition assistance, and documentation, enabling scientists and engineers to produce high-quality, reproducible results in a safe and efficient laboratory environment. This is an on-site Bremen role that includes regular work in the R&D lab and, when required, line-side support in production test areas during iterative development rollouts.

  • Set up runs, monitor progress, and ensure correct transfer, naming, and storage of raw data files.
  • Support software rollout verification on lab and production test systems by performing defined manual setup checks, capturing required metadata, and escalating failures quickly.

Data & Metadata Management

  • Organize raw data and associated metadata according to defined standards to ensure traceability and reproducibility.
  • Perform basic quality checks to verify data completeness and expected signal behaviour.
  • Document instrument configurations and note deviations from standard setups.

Operational & Throughput Support

  • Support laboratory throughput by managing sample queues, loading automated systems, and coordinating instrument availability.
  • Clean and prepare labware and materials suitable for analytical measurements.
  • Safety, Compliance & Documentation
  • Follow laboratory safety, chemical hygiene, and waste disposal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, and operational logs to support compliance and audits.

Additional Responsibilities (as needed)

  • Assist with method validation, development studies, or generation of standardized datasets.
  • Support basic data checks or preprocessing using established tools or scripts.

Keys to Success:
