Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to set up and execute tests for different products in accordance with standard testing methodologies and requirements. Each day, you will perform your tasks or activities using skills and techniques as well as a practical understanding of concepts used in the field of technology. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring proper documentation of the test results.



The work model for the role is: R&D Engineer – Certification

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Work with project manager and team members in certification areas, including filling application form, understanding the product structure and configurations, writing product description etc.
  • Work with project team to prepare the testing samples and submit to external agencies
  • Closely follow up the certification progress and work as the bridge between the external notify body and internal technical team, to facilitate the certification process from both sides
  • Escalate the challenges in case certification is blocked by external agency clearly and seek the support from management
  • Summarize the manufacturing requirements according to the certification coverage and roll out the certification requirements clearly to factory
  • Maintain the certification and prepare to renew it with good time margin to avoid the business impact.


Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in product certification, compliance, or engineering design
  • In-depth knowledge of CE directives (EMC ,LVD and RED directive), UL certification standards, and other international regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with EX (explosive atmospheres) or SIL (Functional Safety) certification is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in using English to read/write technical documentation and international standards
  • Technical Competency: Deep knowledge of product safety and certification, regulatory understanding, and technical documentation preparation
  • Analytical Ability: Capability to evaluate complex compliance requirements and translate them into actionable engineering solutions
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with internal team members and engineers in external notify body; ability to simplify complex technical content
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve obstacles in the certification process, by balancing the certification and function of the product.
  • Team Collaboration: Close cooperation with multiple departments to accelerate product time-to-market by smoothing certification completion.
  • Self-Driven: Ability to independently manage own work in multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Bachelor's degree or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related field  
  • The ability to be an effective contributor when working in cross-functional team and multi-cultural teams
