The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for leading quality engineering activities across AMAX’s hardware manufacturing and system integration operations. This role ensures that AI servers, GPU-based systems, storage systems, and data center solutions meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards.

 

  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, coordinate audits and management review inputs, and drive closure of audit findings
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer quality issues and escalations, providing clear technical updates and tracking actions through closure
  • Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, and global quality teams to resolve quality issues throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead hardware failure investigations and root cause analysis using inspection findings, test logs, technical specifications, and supplier failure analysis reports
  • Drive containment and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), prepare and review 8D reports, and verify corrective action effectiveness
  • Conduct supplier audits, review supplier failure analysis and corrective actions, and drive timely resolution of recurring defects and quality escapes
  • Manage nonconforming material controls, traceability, and RMA disposition with engineering, supply chain, and suppliers
  • Support new product introduction and component, firmware, or packaging changes by reviewing quality risks and inspection or validation requirements
  • Coordinate product certification and compliance documentation with customers, suppliers, and test laboratories to meet customer specifications and applicable industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to quality engineers, operators, and manufacturing teams, promoting quality and accountability

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in quality engineering within hardware, electronics, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of QMS requirements, ISO 9001, and internal audit practices
  • Hands-on experience with failure analysis, root cause methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone), and corrective action verification
  • Familiarity with server, storage, or similar hardware manufacturing, and system-level testing
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, component specifications, and test data to assess defects and support disposition decisions
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage customer and supplier escalations and multiple priorities independently

Preferred:

  • Experience with AI/HPC systems, GPU servers, rack integration, or liquid cooling systems
  • Experience with supplier audits, supplier qualification, product change reviews, and global quality coordination
  • Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
  • Familiarity with product safety, EMC, and environmental compliance requirements such as CE, FCC, CB, NRTL, and RoHS
  • Experience supporting third party audits or customer-specific compliance programs

The salary range offered for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on the candidate’s experience and skill set.
